Sustainable Packaging. A glimmer of hope!

Uplifting news is the ideal way to kick things off positively, and we're excited to share some heartening findings from DS Smith that are sure to brighten your morning. DS Smith, a packaging company committed to sustainable and recyclable products, has conducted a survey that shows 43% of respondents prefer products with more sustainable packaging.

But the good news doesn't end there. Here are a few other encouraging results:

  • 26% of respondents aged 30-39 are increasing their recycling efforts.

  • 21% of respondents in the 18 to 29 age group are also stepping up their recycling game.

These statistics clearly signify a shift in public mindset, one that the private sector must heed to maintain its current market share. It's worth noting that at Exereco, we advocate for case studies that demonstrate alternative, more sustainable approaches to what we're accustomed to. A prime example, based on DS Smith's work, is the use of recycled materials. What makes this case particularly intriguing is that DS Smith not only sources recycled materials but also provides them by offering paper and cardboard recycling services.

Here's another instance where opting for sustainability and taking the slightly more expensive route can ultimately lead to the creation of new services and revenue streams.
